Styled Shoots

Valentine's Day Breakfast

Every year, at least once we are honored to receive a call from the KSFY morning show asking if we will put together an event with their corresponding show.  In the past we have talked Oscars, 4th of July and Spread the word.  This morning I got to chat up the holiday of LOVE! Nancy of Shawn and Nancy's morning show called last week to see if I was available.  I always say YES! I have a blast every time I appear on the show, plus it gives me the opportunity to show all of the early risers what kind of creativity we are capable of! The trickiest part of the show is you have one awkward shaped table and very limited amount of time to whip out the creation.  Oh and you have to be super quiet...if you know me, you know this is a challenge! I wanted to create a t able that anyone at home can recreate for their girlfriends or their kiddo's.  Every day that we wake up is an incredible miracle so why not celebrate it! Please note that these photos were all from my iPhone and don't judge!

Take a look at a few of the items we whipped up!

S'more Love for Heather and Adam

Heather and Adam Willert tied the knot lakeside at Camp Lakodia on a beautiful October afternoon. They were surrounded by love from friends and family as they celebrated their special day. The love and energy radiating from the bride and groom was undeniably contagious. I am so blessed to have shared this day with Adam and Heather. Let me tell you, those two sure know how to have fun! They are a perfect pair and are absolutely stunning together. h8fF688N83wovCygvJD07P9QgtQAopqagQOB-JoQaoM“Adam makes me laugh uncontrollably, makes me feel incredibly special and loved. He’s my rock; the one I turn to for everything and the reason why I want to wake up every morning and be the best person I can be. He is so supportive, loving, and caring.” – HeatherDFWFocLB47MDPoErzL0B1mU4fWSljStx5D0PZ7sKJEYYYZbJrf6THVyyZuQkzYtnJjSs9TwkYy3J1YqvzKBIU8Heather’s vibrant personality was reflected through the themed reception décor. It was an elegant mix between “peacock” and rustic themed with paper lanterns and lights streaming over the reception hall. The center pieces were hand crafted with a variety of flowers, feathers, and twigs. Her face lit up when she saw the event hall and everything came together beautifully. Everyone was enjoying drinks, cupcakes, and dancing up a storm throughout the night.HpIDo-mCmIqbna2fTuXiz-OEX8N1QM8T4NpFxfnY_GEUSonB1tv9EIEskpkldjWgcfEPhX8pYduMDjETXMd1PQEach wedding guest received a "S'more Love!"  favor with graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate to take home. This land was made for you and me!

Good Morning America! Serendipitous Events made a guest appearance on the ABC affiliate KSFY to celebrate America’s birthday! Chocolate-covered strawberries & sugar cones dipped in patriotic sprinkles, firecracker-inspired treats on skewers, & various glassware filled with borrowed-from-Christmas sparkly red décor joined together like the armed forces for a fun 4th of July spread. Festive pinwheels & drinking straws displayed in mason jars brought an All-American feel to the table. Complete with red velvet cupcakes & letters to spell out the good old “U.S.A.”, what better way to celebrate Independence Day than with a little DIY fun?!!!Enjoy the photos and the fun of your day!Salud,Jessica

Why should you hire a planner!!

Hey Ya’ll, I am Jessica, the Event Planner and owner of Serendipitous Events I work a little and have a ton of fun in the studio at the Creative Co-Op! I started event planning about 10 years ago and fell in love with the industry, the people and the creativity! When the time was right (in the middle of a major recession) I started my own event planning company, because lets face it, I didn’t want to work for anyone else! I work with Brides, Moms, Dads, CEO’s, Executive Directors and everyone in between! People are often unsure of why to hire an event planner so I thought I would help you understand a bit about what I do and LOVE!

A planner’s vendor relationships will make your celebration the perfect affair!Details!Details!Details!:  It’s the little things that will make or break your event . Planners have a knack for the small things, right down to the cherries on top of your ice cream or the glitter on your fairytale-wedding dance floor!Preppiness: An event planner prepares for everything. They’ve got safety, savvy, and style down to a science! Need band-aids for the flower girl’s skinned knee? They’ll locate the whole first aid kit!
